Summary
Kara and Alex have always been fairly codependent throughout the canonical Supergirl tv series. Kara's appetite is often referenced as a result of her Kryptonian biology interacting with exposure to "Earth's yellow sun". I recently considered that maybe Kara's appetite might in part be a psychosomatic response to the trauma she suffered as a child. There seem to be many inconsistencies between Kara and Kal-El and I began to wonder if their upbringing may have more to do with that than their biology. It would make sense since Kal-El has no experience of trauma. He doesn't remember Krypton or his trip to Earth. Kara remembers Krypton's destruction and awoke periodically while trapped in the phantom zone. Because of this, I thought she may have suffered from Attachment Disorder as a child. Untreated, several of the choices she's made as an adult seem to reflect symptoms of Adult Attachment Disorder. What if, largely by serendipity, Kara and Alex stumbled upon an effective therapeutic intervention in the form of adult nursing?

Summary
It's been nearly a year since Alex Danvers lost what she considered her everything, and it was only nearly a year after did she decide to take her own life. Kara had caught her in the act though, and now everyone's asking why? Why a year later? These 6 sessions, Astra (National City's best therapist) tries to answer that golden question.
