    Summary

Natasha was seventeen when she and Bucky moved permanently to the United States to make a career for themselves on Broadway. It was there that Bucky met Steve, a New York native with an impressive stage presence. He had connections, too, and Natasha appreciated Bucky’s friendship with him from a practical standpoint before eventually becoming friends with Steve in her own right. She tended to be more reclusive than Bucky when it came to social entanglements, but Steve brought along his own circle of friends. Before Natasha knew it, she had a group of people she enjoyed seeing and going out with for the first time.

Enter Clint Barton, a homeless veteran who Natasha meets by chance and can't get out of her head. In turn, she's nothing like he could have ever expected. Together, they'll keep each other on their toes.

    Summary

“What the actual f*@k,” Fury glared incredulously, “are monkey’s doing here?”

“They’re marmosets, Sir,” Hill corrected flatly as Tony looked between them all with glee.

“They’re also with us,” Clint stated, not amused and clearly not giving two shits about anyone’s actual opinion of the matter as he stood there with a marmoset on his shoulder, and Natasha Romanov and the Winter Soldier backing him up.

or: SHIELD handles things badly after Loki, and Clint doesn't take it well. Neither does Natasha.

    Bookmarker's Notes

This is everything I love about fanfiction - implausible, yet somehow totally believable, blending BAMF and angst and loyalty - just simply fantastic! I mean... Marmosets and Assassins, come on! Plus, adorable artwork. I would absolutely recommend all the fics by this author, especially if you enjoy some angsty Clint Barton.
