"If you met her you would understand. There's no way. She's too obnoxious. It feels like she's always lying even when she's saying easily verifiable facts that I know are true. Rhea could text me “good morning” and I would have to look out the window to check if the sun was out."

or, store manager Edelgard deals with a problem customer and accidentally catches the attention of the most annoying double-texter on the planet.

A coffee shop AU! Rhea and Edelgard in modern setting without as much background as they had in fe3h. Instead, their personalities were brought forefront and we get a lovely teasing relationship between these two. Throughout the story, curiousity became affection that evolved into love. :)

    Summary

She didn’t think Makoto was the kind of girl to be into roses and flower language, sure, because she’s just so proper and ladylike all the time (except for as Queen— ironically enough). But the enthused way she explains is just so fitting. She gets this bright cadence to her voice that reminds Ann of lilies or sunflowers and is so different from her usual stern, commanding alto.

“You’re actually really cute,” Ann says, watching the way Makoto turns the ring over in her hands.

… which is evidently the absolute wrong thing to say, because Makoto looks like she’s just been shot.

    Bookmarker's Notes

A MakoAnn fic that greatly explores the bond that they share. Also a Ann character study fic that dissects her character so well. Picks on the fact that Ann is great emotionally, instinctively and treats her well, better than the game ever could have done. From Maokoto, we get to see her trying and learning and being a person. Furthermore, this story doesn't neglect Ann and Shiho's could-have-been and gave them a really well rapport to work off on.

    Summary

“They look happy.” Ingrid says, watching the dancers. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen the professor smile like that.”

“I don’t think she ever has smiled like that before.” Dorothea says. And her charm is still easy to summon, and she turns to flash Ingrid with a smile she hopes is convincing. “Are you jealous? After this I have no doubt there would be swarms of eligible bachelors hoping for a chance with you. One of them might even deserve you.”

Ingrid shakes her head. “Don’t tease me. I’m not jealous. I’m just a bit…” Ingrid is still looking out, and the edges of her lips quirk when Byleth misjudges a step and has to be saved by Edelgard. The professor never was a dancer, Dorothea thinks. “I’m not sure how I feel, if I’m honest. But I’m glad they’re happy. Someone has to be.”

    Bookmarker's Notes

A good fic about post war ingrid and dorothea. Builds upon what they experience in prologue and takes cue from the support convos that we get from these two characters seperately and together.
