“What's wrong?” Momo asked, her stalwart maid of honor always right by her side. She was doing up Kyouka's dress, her careful hands looping threads over buttons and tying them tight, but she paused and looked over Kyouka's shoulder, her eyes looking for Kyouka's in the mirror.
“It's just not what I expected, I guess.”

“Even if we were, he is - was - the hero who saved Japan. They'd do whatever he wanted.”
“He was an idiot,” Katsuki said, silencing the group with four simple words. The fire crackled in front of him, ready to burn away the last remaining vestiges of him.

Eijirou woke up to getting hit in the face with a phone.
This, admittedly, was not usually how he woke up. He hardened his skin, his eyes shot open, and he pulled his arms up to defend himself, but then there were large - familiar - hands stroking his arms and a soothing voice in his ear. After a second, he managed to drop his defenses and when his panic finally resided, he was able to recognize the shock of blond hair and handsome face hovering above his.
“What the fuck?” He rasped, his voice still thick with sleep despite his rude awakening. Katsuki chuckled, partly apologetic but mostly amused.
“Sorry,” He said, pressing a kiss to Eijirou’s temple before crawling onto the bed and throwing a leg over his waist, settling on top of the redhead’s stomach. “That wasn’t exactly how I planned this to go.”

A series of technically stand-alone one-shots of BakuShima as they progress through their first year at UA. All of them should probably be able to be read alone, but there will probably be references to other chapters inside.

the car is old and the road is long. nothing truly feels real, gas stations are empty, hotel rooms are on another plane of existence, street lights flicker when they walk past them. the fabric of their relationship changes a bit with every new city they drive through, progressively muffling the buzzing static of their thoughts
or how kirishima and bakugou share food, beds, bodies, and refuse to admit they want it to last
