Two Sworn Brother's of the Night's Watch stand before the Iron Throne to request aid against the Threat from the North.
Rhaenyra Targaryen’s campaign should be a disaster. She has a weirdly close relationship with her uncle, had an affair with Harwin Strong while married to Laenor Velaryon, dates celebrities of all genders and swears on prime-time television. She goes viral on social media, comes from old money but leads a left-leaning campaign and says the truth in interviews.
This senate race should be a slam dunk. The easiest win of Alicent’s career.
Instead, she wakes up to learn Rhaenyra is beating her father’s candidate by fifteen points in the polls.
This country is fucked.
It’s been two months since the Hand of the King, Lord Strong and his first-born son were both killed in a tragic fire in Harrenhal. The Hand was only supposed to be visiting his seat for a short while, called home to deal with a territorial dispute between some minor houses sworn to his when a fire inexplicably broke out, trapping both him and his son in a fiery inferno. All manner of rumours quickly spread: the Hand was killed by the curse of Harenhal, by the angry Lords whose dispute he mediated, by a witch living in his castle. Some even pointed to his second son. One thing is certain, however: The King finds himself in need of a new Hand.
