Jungkook's still crying, air not travelling through him correctly, and all he can focus on is the fact Namjoon is crouched in front of him, minutes after breaking his heart...the very same fucking day he had pieced it together again.
"Please look at me," Namjoon pleads. His hands take Jungkook's wrists tightly, as if he's afraid that Jungkook might leave if he lets go.
Jungkook knows his voice is hoarse; scratched and raw. He replies "I can't," anyway and his voice cracks. Namjoon seems to whimper at that, a distressed noise from deep in this throat that seems to catch on a sob of his own.
"Jungkook," Namjoon says before taking a shaky breath that Jungkook feels. The way he used to always feel Namjoon's emotions vibrate deep within his chest, back when they were close. In sync. In love. "I'm sorry. You know I have to do this. It's the Chois."
"You don't." Jungkook replies
