Averages for the diversity of species on Earth range five million (a conservative estimate) to twenty-five million (generous) to one trillion (unlikely, but provides a degree of scale.)Ecosystems as they are presented in Star Wars tend to have exceptionally limited flora and fauna. A planet can have under 50 species, or under ten species, with half of those species found on other planets as well. Compared to Earth, the trend is a fraction of the genetic diversity, and a flexible attitude towards introducing exotic species.

“Woman,” he says, eyes narrowing a bit when her shoulders flinch, almost imperceptible. “How long has it been?”
She doesn’t answer right away, but he’s a predator and he can be patient. He waits as she measures out the tea, as she pours almost boiling water into each of the cups. She picks one of them up, turns to him with her eyes fixed on the steaming liquid as she holds it out to him.
The tiny cup trembles, but she takes a breath and lifts her chin. Like this, she looks almost the same as the girl he’d snatched in Las Noches, shoulders tight and movements restrained, scared but trying so hard to not let it overpower her. Then, he’d just been glad that she was easily led into doing what he wanted. Now, it irritates him.
“Ten years,” she says and her voice is steady as a rock. “It’s been ten years since you died in Askin’s gift ball deluxe.”

He has a stall and everything. There's another teenage boy with him, handing out leaflets. Wei Ying pulls her hair down to cover the sides of her face and walks up.
"Hey! Are you interested in demonic cultivation?" asks the kid brightly. He grabs a leaflet off the stall and thrusts it at her.
"Uh, I don't really know a lot about it," Wei Ying says, "but you said Wei Wuxian could personally teach me?"
