Summary
Illya sets the file down on the counter between them. The sound echoes through the shop.
A mug is placed down in front of him. Napoleon presses a quick kiss to his cheek and then he’s back into the chaos behind the counter. Illya watches him work for a long moment, watching his hands as he makes coffee after coffee. His book is forgotten in his lap.
He remembers the coffee in front of him when Napoleon sends a grin his way and picks it up from the table. It’s perfect, as always.
The story about what happens after.

Summary
Booker’s gaze is hollow, but he stares steadily back at Joe. “You have no idea,” he says again. “You said you would walk through fire for Nicky? I would have done that a thousand times for my children, before I ever knew that I would survive it.” He takes a step closer, and Joe instinctively readies himself at the look in his eyes.
“Imagine,” Booker says, his voice low. “Just for a moment, that Nicky is dying.”
Joe punches him right in the face.

Summary
The coffee machine is broken.
Illya stares at the piece of paper stuck over the front of it, the smiley face drawn underneath the damming Out of Order as if it somehow helps. The little touch display on the top refuses to light up, no matter how many times he pokes it.
Illya stares longingly at the broken machine, and then does what he normally does when he finds a problem he can’t immediately fix.
There’s a freshly painted sign over the café opposite as they jimmy the back door open and slip outside, elegant cursive that’s only just readable. “Solo’s,” Gaby reads aloud. “Well, let’s see what they’ve got.”

Summary
Nile watches as Joe gets to his feet and heads towards Nicky, calling out something to him in Italian. Nile is torn between learning Italian, so that she can know what they’re saying, and feeling like it’s an intrusion on something that she’s not meant to hear. "He's very protective of Nicky, isn't he?"
"You're only noticing that now?" Andy asks wryly.
“It all seems a little bit one-sided, that’s all,” Nile muses. “I've never seen Nicky be as...violently protective over Joe.” Andy just hums, and Nile glances over at her. “You think I’m wrong? I know I haven’t been around long, but I’ve seen Joe get killed in a bunch of messy ways and Nicky has never done…that.”
Andy just hums again. “Look again,” she says when Nile throws her hands up in frustration. “Watch more closely. You’ll know when you see it.”

Summary
When he gets back, two bowls of stew and a jug of wine balanced precariously in his hands courtesy of a grateful mother, Geralt is exactly where he left him. He’s fast asleep, chest slowly rising and falling beneath the blanket still draped over him.
Roach glances over and nickers at him softly. “You and me, girl, we’ve got a hell of a job on our hands,” Jaskier whispers to her. “Don’t you worry, though. I’ll stick around for a bit. Help you out.”
Roach flicks an ear at him, and then goes back to her hay. Jaskier heaves a sigh. “Sometimes I feel so unappreciated.”

Summary
Napoleon just wants a quiet life to enjoy his retirement from UNCLE, teaching art history at university. There's been a wedding ring on his finger for years now, a matching one on Illya's, and all he wants to do is live out his life with the man he loves. But things are never as simple as that, and neither of them have been left unharmed by the games they had to play.
A story about stories, and what it means to leave behind a legacy.

Summary
It's been over a year since Rome, since they stopped the world ending, since Napoleon made a choice and threw a watch across the room instead of pulling a gun. They've been spiralling together in that inevitable way, but neither Napoleon or Illya have been brave enough to take the first step across to the other.
Now it might all be too late, and Napoleon didn't think it would end like this: Illya lying in the street, ash and blood and Napoleon's name on his lips. There are a thousand unspoken words between them, begging to be heard before they become just another regret on top of the many they've already accumulated over the years, but the game never stops, not even for love.

Summary
Things that Jaskier can remember about his family:
-His mother stroking his hair, the soft murmur of her voice as he settled more comfortably against her. There was firelight and warmth and love.
-A brief moment of triumph and then the feeling of weightlessness as his father lifts him from the tree and cradles him to his chest. The steady rhythm of his heart in his breast.
-Reaching up to the sky. He’s not sure what for. Possibly for his parents, though he knows that they are gone, that they have left him, that they are never coming back.
-His grandfather’s stern visage. The knowledge that he doesn’t want him. That no one wants him. Being sent to temple school is honestly a relief.Jaskier is (unknowingly) a dragon and is (forcibly) adopted by Borch, post Rare Species.

Summary
From the kinkmeme: AU Warlord!Geralt receives Tribute!Jaskier as a sacrifice to appease him in every way possible. Jaskier has no choice on the matter and he’s fully aware of the awful rumours that have spread about Geralt and his ruthless conquests. (But we all know those aren’t legit.) A classic angst with a happy ending please! A dash of smut to heal those scars and a sprinkle of new found love!
Jaskier arrives at Kaer Morhen knowing his family gave him up without a second thought, and absolutely sure that the dreaded Warlord of the North will value him even less than his own blood did. But the White Wolf and his pack are not what Jaskier expected...and if he's unreasonably lucky, Kaer Morhen might become far more of a home than Lettenhove ever was.

Summary
In which Grantaire is the increasingly disgruntled Guardian of Fear and the Grim Reaper has gone missing.
“You’ve lost The Grim?” Musichetta says shrilly, as if Grantaire is somehow personally responsible for humanity’s mortality.
“It’s not my fault,” Grantaire throws his arms up in the air and the shadows follow, jittering across the room, “Excuse me for thinking that Death could take care of himself!”
“Are you telling us that the Will-o-the-Wisp, whose sole purpose is to mislead humans, has himself gotten lost?” Bossuet asks, attempting, and failing, to suppress his glee.
“Once I’ve made sure that the world isn’t ending, I’ll be sure to tell Bahorel all about the irony.”
