Summary
As with all situations, good or bad, timing is everything.
Izuku Midoriya awakens to his quirk just in time to save his best friend, Katsuki Bakugo, for the first time from a villain. However, in doing so, he kills the perpetrator and is ostracized from his classmates. Except for Katsuki who stays and becomes a brother in all but blood.
But that was then, and this is now. With Izuku and Katsuki nearing the end of their high school careers and their sights on UA, a chance encounter with an international hero known as Rean Schwarzer, The Ashen Chevalier, Izuku gets a chance to grow from his past and become the next number one hero: The Viridian Chevalier.

Summary
Their eyes met, and he yelled “Izu!!” not caring that he had reverted to calling the nerd by his old childhood nickname from when they were kids. He reached his hand out to grab him, when suddenly a dark portal formed in front of Katsuki, and he found himself back where he started, as he crashed into the pavement next to both Mindfreak and the stranger who’d followed him.
He looked up and could only watch as the Hand Villain finally managed to drag Izuku through the portal as he screamed “Kacchan!” in fear. Katsuki knew that the look he saw on Izuku’s face that day as he disappeared into the portal would haunt him for weeks to come.

Izuku gets kidnapped by the League of Villains after the Sludge Villain Incident, and is found months later during the USJ Incident tortured and traumatized, and almost completely changed from the boy Katsuki used to know.
