Asami knows that, objectively, this isn’t the smartest thing that she's ever done.
To be fair, she’s done a lot of smart things, so it’s hard to get to the top of the list, but there’s really no debate that this is near the bottom.
There’s a reason that she didn’t tell Korra what she was going to do, because Korra would have immediately told her no, that it isn’t worth it.
Because Korra - sweet sweet lovely Korra - is so selfless, and wouldn’t dare put Asami in danger, even if Asami was offering to help.
Which is why Asami finds herself alone, approaching a Red Lotus stronghold.
(Asami takes it upon herself to find some answers for Korra)
Mako and Korra had fun together, that was for sure. But when Korra had decided to drop her athletic scholarship to study physical therapy and recovery, he had been quick to accuse her of leaping before looking, rather than trusting her.
Asami had trusted her.
Asami had been the one to simply blink and then give Korra a quick verbal checklist of what she would need to do, and then asked if she could help in any way. Asami had even been the one to help her get into better study habits, so she could still join her teammates for practices and runs while still having enough time for studying to bring her GPA up.
Korra's crushing all over again, but maybe this time will be for the better..?
- Part 2 of One Large Order of Strife To Go
Mako will constantly get run over by various things (cars, trains, people, airships).
Korra and Asami get together in the first season and flaunt their relationship in Mako's face, making him the stupid ex of the bi avatar and engineer.
Mako meets Wu and they eventually hook up.
Kuvira tells Batar to shut up and has a crush on Korra.
Take place over the 4 seasons of LOK.
Korra is born into a prosperous world. A world where there are no big conflicts, a world where technology was growing. As a young child, Korra would fantasize about becoming a savior of the world, commanding respect, and turning heads. But be careful what you wish for, young Korra.
"Will I ever see you again, mom, dad?"
"Don't worry Korra, we'll always be by your side. Bye sweetie."
"Mom, what do you mean? Mom? Dad?!"
A world similar to our own (no bending and limited mention of spirits) yet more advanced than our 21st century (both politically and technologically).
Disclaimer: I do not own The Legend Of Korra. All character credits go to creators Bryan Konietzko and Michael Dante DiMartino (a special hat-tip to these two for making one of the best animated series ever).
Asami has these psychic abilities that make her aware of every time she's near Korra she gets an odd feeling in her gut that something bad is going to happen to her. Asami's psychic ability make her blind to certain things in her life, so that ends up opening a whirlpool of uncertain discoveries for her.
