Now Levi’s gunning for them and they don't have any idea how to react.
He really was the perfect person to crush on: handsome, athletic, smart, generally polite to teachers and above bullying students like Armin and Eren. He was also absolutely unobtainable for them. They would never have to know heartbreak or rejection from him, would never have to see his disgust at them for being in a relationship and wanting someone else to join them. It was perfect.
