Summary
The downside of having a harsh reputation regarding demonic cultivators meant it was harder to locate them sometimes, especially if they had sympathetic family members or friends protecting them or were extremely well hidden. Jiang Cheng didn't particularly mind that people spread exaggerated rumors about his cruel nature. It did ensure that anyone who was considering demonic cultivation thought twice about doing so if it risked drawing the wrath of Sect Leader Jiang, but that occasionally forced him to get really creative in his methods.
It meant sometimes it couldn't be Sandu Shengshou or anyone from his sect hunting down the whereabouts of demonic cultivators. It meant he had to be someone else, someone who could blend into crowds, someone who no one would suspect while he carefully searched for any useful information.
