“Interesting,” said the figure, in a voice all too familiar, stepping from shadow into the kitchen light. Chills ran down Lena’s spine, her body signaling danger, while her mind sputtered at the impossible. A familiar green glow accompanied the figure as she stepped closer, and Lena suddenly felt adrift, as though she were staring into a demented funhouse mirror.
Her doppelganger spoke again. “I believe I’m you.”
Lena’s eyes dropped to the green stone in her doppelganger’s chest. “You’re not me.”

Summary
Lena rebrands Luthor Corp and moves to National City after her brother's trial. Now all she wants is to make her company a success and to do better than Lex did with their father's legacy. But as a Luthor trust is hard to come by and the challenges come from within and from outside. Even her own brother wants her dead. So when a plucky junior reporter takes an interest in Lena it's up to Lena to decide if she can take a risk on her, little does she know that the risk goes both ways and together they will have to navigate their way towards friendship and something more.

It all started like many stories shouldn’t – on a Reddit thread. Kara had been scrolling through her feed, laughing at videos of puppies and ogling photos of delicious looking hamburgers when a post came up that caught her attention. It was a picture of Supergirl wearing her skirt next to a picture of her wearing her new pants. The caption simply read, Thoughts?.

Lena makes explicit content and Kara happens to stumble across it.
Update: So I guess this is a slow burn now? It's not really an alternate universe, but a universe with alterations.
