When Hawke attended the Conclave, he hadn't intended on waking up with a glowing hand and people thinking he was Andraste's Herald. He also hadn't intended on somehow becoming the figurehead of the Inquisition. But intentions mean little in the face of action, and Hawke has never been one to back down from a challenge. When the world stands on the edge of change…what else can he do but leap?
“Only you, Hawke,” Varric sighed.
Hawke, the bloody bastard, had the gall to look vaguely offended. The light coming from his hand tinged his face an unearthly green; the eerie shadows cast by it seemed to be almost alive, stretching and flickering even when no one moved. (Hawke ruined the effect by attempting to make a truly awful shadow puppet of a mabari.)
A series of stupid drabbles in which Purple!Hawke accidentally stumbles into the role of Inquisitor.
"Then let's get a move on, if I'm going to die I'd rather get it over with."
All Hawke wanted to do was grab Varric from the conclave and run. In and out while the Templars and Mages talked, simple. Things are rarely simple in Hawke's life.
