"You're the skater her sketchbook is filled with." Ruby said in a bit more of a hushed tone, as if she thought the woman would be able to hear them. "I may have peaked when she forgot it in class..." She said with a nervous laugh.
"So this random girl has basically been checking me out and turning it in for a grade?" Yang couldn't help but laugh at that. "So what's her name?"
"Blake. I don't know her last name, I'm not actually sure she's ever said it."
Blake huh? Yang decided she liked that name. "Alright, then let's give Blake a show."

Summary
Rangi never expected to receive a letter from Hei-Ran, especially as they hadn’t spoken for almost four years after a bitter disagreement. Its contents even more surprising as it called her to Yokoya, the small mining town in the middle of nowhere which her mother governs. Honour bound to answer it’s summons, she leaves her position as First Lieutenant in the Fire Nation in order to do so. What she finds is a place surrounded by trees and mountains, full of interesting characters. However she never expected to find herself entwined with the legend of an otherworldly forest and the guardian spirit that protects it.
A guardian that the locals say is as tall as a mountain and wears a face of red and white!

Blake was not poor. She knew this like she knew how to chew; like she knew so thoroughly how to swallow; like she knew how to stomach despicability. Oh yes, Blake had it all, alright. She had gowns, and crowns, and gossamer ropes with which to practice her nooses. But Blake was no fool. Nor was she so desperate for reprieve that she'd stoop so low; being a prisoner of war in a foreign castle was one thing, it was another to be married to your captor. For all her supposed title should have granted her, and for having much... Blake had nothing. Nothing but her common sense. And her common sense told her to run.
