Summary
Kitten’s soft purrs wake her from where she’s curled up at her hip and making biscuits into her kneading pillow with her good hand, the other still restrained in a splint. She drops a wrinkled hand onto her head and pets her shortish mane.
“Kitten, dearie, I'm going to be gone for a while, yes? Will you behave for me, my dearie?” she coos at the girl, who has now stretched over the warm spot on the bed. Kitten chirrups her understanding.

Oh, stars, they are so dead. So, so dead. Catra’s going to kill them. She’s going to filet them with her claws like sashimi and then feed them to the beasts in the Whispering Woods.
“Oh, Stars, Glimmer! What are we going to do! Look at her!!!”
“There’s only one thing we can do, Bow. We’re running away, changing our names, and living the rest of our lives in secret hoping that Catra never finds us.”
Bow whimpers, and then Adora starts crying.
