An astral storm sends bondmates Jim and Spock hurtling back in time to the year 2251. Jim meets 20-year-old Spock in San Francisco, enrolled in Starfleet Academy and undergoing an identity crisis. Spock meets 18-year-old Jim in Riverside, impulsive and yearning to run away. Jim and Spock must learn to work with the difficult younger version of their bondmate -- or be trapped in the past forever.

He regrets the words the moment they come out of his mouth. But that other, older Spock said that he needed to get command of the ship, and to do so, must get his younger counterpart to acknowledge his emotions. Spock is not the first Vulcan Jim has had dealings with, and he can think of few things that would get T’pri as riled up as quickly as insinuating that she doesn’t love him.
He gambles that Spock is the same about his mother, and it pays off.
(Or, the one where Jim has a Vulcan daughter, and it leads to all sorts of emotions.)

Kirk Prime is deposited by the Nexus on New Vulcan and Spock Prime informs him all about the new universe. Kirk is not pleased with his young counterpart’s treatment of new Spock, so he writes a guide to the care and keeping of half-Vulcan first officers.
It still needs some editing. Actually, lots of editing. Giving your younger counterpart that much obvious relationship advice constitutes a violation of the temporal Prime Directive.
