Summary
Third year started calmer than the other years, Hitoshi notes idly as he spins his pen through his fingers. There's no green kid with exploding limbs or, you know, a massive war or anything, so Hitoshi will count it as a win.
Though, with more time to think about things other than when the next attack will be, Hitoshi finds himself staring. Staring at the way that Izuku hunches over a notebook, sunlight filtering through his lashes and crooked, scarred fingers gently holding his pen as it flies across the paper.

He spies the chat exploding with questions and suggestions from fans—and a few fellow Pros. “Well,” he starts in a teasing drawl, and Onaga leans forward as if they’re in the same space. “He’s tall . . . over six feet, last time we checked . . . and he’s pretty strong, too.”
The interviewer raises an eyebrow, and teases, “Even stronger than you, Deku?”
“I wouldn’t doubt it,” Izuku replies, and even before his phone lights up with a text, even before the interviewer does a soft exhale, he knows he’s wearing the sappiest, lovestruck expression anyone has ever seen him wear. he’s wearing the sappiest, lovestruck expression anyone has ever seen him wear.
