Summary
Boya's day had started poorly and looked to continue in the same manner. Master Chen, who oversaw the training expeditions for the mid-levels disciples, fell off a roof catching one of the youngest students, and broke his leg. The student was suitably apologetic, and suitably punished, but Master Chen would not recover in time to lead his latest training excursion. Boya had volunteered, mostly out of boredom but partially out of desperation. Boya had a reputation for his dedication to his duties. Some would call it overworking. Boya did not.

It takes a long second for Reki to answer. When he finally does, Langa feels the world slow to a stop around them. “Well, the thing is... my soulmate is always writing on their arm. But they’re always writing in English, so I don’t know what it says. I was hoping you might translate it for me?”
