Summary
So Violet's always aware of anything that's happening in school, always knows when a rule is about to be created or when a student will have their parents called in or when a teacher is in trouble. Nothing escapes Violet's radar.
Needless to say, then, she's extremely affronted when Mrs. Zamo is introduced to them on a Wednesday afternoon as the new gymnastics instructor and takes everyone by surprise.Or the one where Violet does not like not knowing things.

Summary
Trixie chuckles a bit and gives her a soft look, and even though the jokes don't really bother Katya she wishes their friends would see and comment on this too, the non-physical intimate moments they have, which is part of the reason that their, yes-physical moments are so special too. Katya squeezes her hand again. It's okay, she tries to pass. It's just a joke.
Also known as that one time Trixie and Katya were useless lesbians and Willam tricked them into a bet.

Summary
Of course Trixie will be the decorator to Shea's wedding - with years of experience in her bag there's no way she'll leave her best friend hanging. Sure, she never intended for that to become practically a full-time job as the wedding planner alongside Sasha's crazy best friend Katya, but hey, everything for your friends, right?

Summary
She grins widely and Trixie melts a bit. Her teeth are displayed in the most symmetrical smile she’s ever seen and they are extremely shiny and white except for the small red mark on her front one where her lipstick probably brushed and she didn’t notice. It makes her look a bit dorky and it’s a look that definitely suits her.
Life on the road can be lonely sometimes, Trixie just never expected one night off to change that.

Summary
She exits the bathroom just as Katya is closing the door with the food in hand, and for a brief moment Katya smiles at her and it’s just like it was a year ago, when things were good and easy, not broken like they are now.
In which Trixie isn’t ready to talk things through, but Katya tries it anyway.

Summary
They have plenty of regulars at the bakery, but Katya becomes Trixie’s favourite almost immediately, stopping in several times a week and always lingering for a while to talk to Trixie. Even after they settle into a routine, Katya coming in some days before her after school classes or before her Saturday morning ones, Trixie’s breath always catches in her chest when the bell rings and Katya appears, shutting the door carefully behind her and giving Trixie a dazzling smile every single time their eyes meet. Trixie’s started spending more time out front, determined not to miss one single visit even as they get more and more frequent, she wants to make the most of every moment she gets to spend trying to make Katya laugh or tempting her with her new creations, enjoying the afternoons when Katya will linger around the counter until she realises the time and dashes off to teach a class, leaving Trixie to collect herself and try to get her heart rate back to normal.

Summary
“Trixie.” Katya sounds upset, her voice breathier than usual, and it makes Trixie’s stomach clench uncomfortably. “Can you call me back when you get home? I’m sorry if I upset you. I...Please, just call me back, okay?”
The machine beeps.
“Trixie.” Katya’s voice sounds stronger now and Trixie presses her fingertips together under her chin, can feel the backs of her calves cramping a little at the way she’s crouched over the machine. “Trixie, that was a really shitty thing to do, you know that, don’t you? Don't you, Trix? Just..can you call me back so we can talk about this?”
Beep.
“Trixie. Trixie, it can’t have taken you this long to drive home. Can you please just call me? This is so stupid, I’m not fighting with you about this, I—”Trixie skips to the next message.

Summary
Trixie is dozing, caught in some pleasant space between awake and asleep, when footsteps pad across the carpet towards her and the bed dips, a pointed knee digging into her thigh.
“Trixie! Good morning!” She peels open her eyes to see Katya hovering over her, grinning where she’s perched over Trixie’s middle. Trixie smiles sleepily, tipping onto her back and giggling along with Katya when she slides down to sit on Trixie’s hips.

Summary
When it’s her turn to order, Katya feels vaguely nervous. She has to open her mouth and speak to the goddess in front of her, try to form actual words and not make a total fool of herself; it doesn’t feel very likely, right now. She steps closer to the counter, and for the first time their eyes meet. She looks up at Katya, then back down at the register, Katya can see how long her lashes are, then back up again quickly, holds her gaze and a little smile spreads across her face, the corners of her lips turned up. Katya smiles back, glances down; there’s a name label stuck onto her black barista shirt, right next to where the buttons are straining a little across her chest. Her handwriting is neat, the letters big and round, i’s dotted with cute little hearts: Trixie.

Summary
“I didn’t want to lie to you too,” Brian said. “I don’t do that and I’m not gonna start. But I need to get – out. Away. I don’t know.”
He sighed and rubbed at his forehead.
There was a strange sound from the other end of the line, like something – maybe the phone itself – was being fumbled by a body in motion. “Trixie, are you okay?” Katya said, and then, in the same breath, “Can I come over? I want to come over. I think maybe I should come over.”
