Summary
A body has caught upon the buttress of Westminster Bridge on the morning after Guy Fawkes Day, 1934, and it's Inspector Lamb and Sgt. Frank Abbot's job to find out who it is, and who put it there. Who, in the Fell family - patriarch Michael (a long time dying), hearty Gabriel, regal Michaela, eccentric Aziraphale - or those around them - Michaela's personal secretary Uriel Ligur, cousin Sandalphon, Aziraphale's boon companion Anthony J Crowley, solicitor at Prince and Prince - could possibly have a reason to kill the baby of the family, Raziel Joshua Fell?
Is the Prince Foundation a useful charity, or something more sinister? How far into the book will Miss Silver finally make her appearance? And what has the unique family legacy, The Book of the Angel Aziraphale, got to do with anything?

Summary
This is more of a thought experiment with a few scenes than a story.
The reason so many varieties of people can feel represented by Aziraphale and Crowley is also the reason they cannot, ultimately, represent any specific class of people. They aren't human. They have different choices and imperatives than the ones that we are used to; and the purely cultural assumptions we make do not bias them. So - if they choose to experience humanlike sexual expression (as they canonically choose other human appetites), what guides those choices, in the absence of the defaults we take for granted? What are the limitations on choice?

Summary
Edna and Mayfair Lil get along very well despite the radical difference in their lifestyles. Queer women have to stick together, after all, even across class lines! No, it's not her business; but she's going to do something about it,anyway.

It's impossible to be as well-read as Aziraphale and not be genre-savvy. Of course the possibility of a miraculous memory wipe has occurred to him, and he's not going to wait around passively waiting for it to be done!

Summary
In Tunisia in 1942, a somewhat inept British spy (?) meets an unconventional Wehrmacht colonel. They understand one another better than either might have expected.
The Colonel reached into his breast pocket and opened a small locket on an old-gold chain, containing a vignette photograph of a ruggedly handsome, dark-haired man in Luftwaffe uniform, with a devilish smile and the premature crow’s-feet of someone who spends his days looking into unfiltered sun.
“My Rosen – Leutnant Kavalier. A bomber pilot, very dashing – though a bit of a reckless boy with no manners or graces. But we cannot rule where our hearts are given, can we?”
The Colonel carefully replaced the locket in his impossibly crisp uniform shirt, twitching aside a scarf of almost transparent peach-colored silk to do so.“I understand,” said Fell. “I’m – quite fond myself of someone like that – though I can’t think entirely what to do about it. It’s very difficult, with our being on – opposite sides, you see.””

Bertie goes to a rather rummy sort of club, the last place one would expect to find one's brilliant valet. What follows is more rummy stuff, lots of drinking, much too much smoking, and some other unmentionable things.

Summary
Due to their overlapping but different skill sets, Aziraphale is better than Crowley at certain Temptations, and Crowley is better than Aziraphale at one supposedly-angelic Task. That’s not necessarily a downside of The Arrangement. It’s absolutely fine, providing that no-one Upstairs or Downstairs notices – and after nearly eight hundred years, what are the the chances of that?
Right.
It may not be the End of the World, but it’s the end of the Eighteenth Century, the world is changing far too fast, and an angel and a demon are up to their necks in Serendipity, even though that concept was only invented in 1754.
