Sheesh, this is very awkward. Why is no one else talking? Why is Philza looking at him like he grew three heads? Why is the Blade staring at him so intensely? Why is Willow still frozen?
“Did I, did I hit a nerve? Yikes,” Tommy hisses, “Well um,” He steps back, bracing his legs and bending his knees, “This was like super fun, but I’m - I’mma head out.”

Edison had traveled a lot, you see. He recognized the dynamics by now: knew when to laugh along the jokes and when to stay quiet in the shadows, had to learn the hard way who he could trust, not only for himself but for Leslie, too. They knew how lucky they were to have found each other in the middle of all this shitstorm, and they didn't expect to find family anywhere else that wasn't the two of them.

He was about to give up, maybe call into the void for her again despite the fact it would probably fall on deaf ears, when he heard a giggle from behind him. Immediately, his shoulders slumped in relief. She was fine. His wife was fine. Just trying to give him a heart attack.
“You panic yourself far too much, my love, I just… needed to prepare myself in coming here.” Came Kristen’s familiar voice, causing Phil to close his eyes and smile before turning around to look at her. There was a slight hesitation when she spoke, but he didn’t worry too much about it.
“Well, when my wife wants me to hurry so badly that she summoned me back from my travels halfway across the world and won’t even let me sleep, pardon myself for being-”
Phil’s words came to a sudden halt in his mouth when he looked at her. Properly looked at her. The relieved smile on his face fell into one of shock. He was frozen where he stood for the moment.
As for today, he was too busy staring at the two bundles she was holding carefully against her chest.

"The council has come to an agreement, the drought is bad and insects have settled in our crops. We must give a pure sacrifice to appease the master within." Sykkuno briefly wondered who would be pure, his friends became a ghastly white. "The sacrifice has already been decided, and a date set for the sunset of tomorrow.”
“Please give your love to our sacrifice Sykkuno."

Corpse Husband is well respected in the community, known for his extraordinary dance skills and recognizable style. Yet, when he goes home all he wants to do is make music.
