Summary

Summary
Arthur isn't speaking to Merlin, after having found out about his magic and all the secrets Merlin kept. Worse, a drought has overtaken Camelot, and it can only be lifted with a sacrifice to the gods of the Old Religion... and the sacrifice can only be performed by the king. The king and the land are one, was how they phrased it in ancient times. According to the druids, Arthur must humble himself before the gods, then spill his seed in a sacred grove at a sacred time. The druids warn him, though: just because the sacrifice is simple, does not mean it will be easy.
Preparation for the ritual drags Arthur's innermost fantasies to the surface, where he can ignore them no longer. As far as Arthur is concerned, it doesn't matter that he's in love with Merlin, Merlin must never find out about Arthur's secret desires... but a secret part of him wonders, what if Merlin did?

This whole thing sprang from a prompt wherein someone saw Loki being mistreated, myth-style, and stepped in to stop it. That's Chapter 1 of the first story. Everything else in that story is the fallout from that moment. The rest of the series grew from there. It's mainly about Loki growing up in a home where he enjoys a completely different relationship to his father.

Summary
The first pride was a riot, and Arthur stands amongst the wreckage of glass on cobblestone. He stands amongst blue and purple and pink, amongst all the colours of the rainbow, and Arthur—
—well. All that Arthur can think of is Merlin.
The first time Arthur goes to a pride march, he doesn't feel like he belongs, doesn't think that being bi has to change anything. The first time Arthur goes to a pride march, he meets Merlin, and it changes everything.
As it turns out, Arthur discovers that perhaps, change isn't such a bad thing.

When Arthur turned twenty-one, he was warned of a curse that was placed upon him at birth.
It is usually quite clear-cut what makes something a curse – a curse is a spell that does harm to someone. But the spell did not harm Arthur. But it was far more pleasant to say that Arthur himself was cursed than to say that someone he would care for was cursed on his behalf; that Arthur had cursed someone by existing, with the help of an evil Sorcerer.
