Summary
NEW SUMMARY:
The Creature Grinned up at him, teeth sharp and thin like needles gleamed in the light as it bowed lowly.
The Wings it wore proudly swept against the floor, ragged and unkept from years of neglect. The small coloured eyes that were seemingly dug and left into the feathers and bone blinked and swirled towards his figure.
He felt sweat collect on his brow, fear beginning to rise and near paralysed at the though of moving when confronted by such a terrifying creature.
'How could i have considered this....'
The smell of burnt wood and ozone infiltrated his senses, making him dizzy by the conflicting smells.
It purred when it spoke, a grumbling not so unlike the sound of thunder.
"It seems I am your student, My Dear Sensei~"
'Human?'
---------
A Being not of this World finds itself Living Among Humans.
Unfortunately, this Being is painfully bad at pretending to be a Human itself.
Shenanigans Ensue.
Surprisingly not a CrackFic.

Summary
Jon has recently been promoted to Head Archivist. Jon is quickly Becoming something else. He doesn't know what to do about it.
The most pressing thing about all of this, the thing that burns through him every night as he lies awake turning it over in his mind, is why. Why is this happening, why is he feeling like this, why is he having strange new dreams that he can’t even remember, why why why? The questions claw at him like a physical need, until he’s choking on it. He wants to know, needs to know, and it’s like there’s a pressure building in his brain every time he asks the same question of himself and doesn’t get an answer. He wants to know, he’s practically sick with it.

Summary
There's a faintly wonky, sideways pair of snowmen beside the front door that Jon did weeks ago to distract Martin from panicking one particularly rough morning, and the size difference between the two, the over-exaggerated skinny body and sour face of one and the big smile and bobbled hat of the other, still makes him laugh when he sees it.
It's as Jon's stopping to survey the two of them one morning two weeks later, when the exhaustion has settled into background noise and the nausea hasn't, that it hits him. He gazes for a long moment and says out loud, without even meaning to, “I'll need to add another one soon.”
He freezes.

Summary
It is a colorful life they are living.
“And over there,” Pearl informs Jon, guiding her father’s hand across the purple expanse of the Highland heavens, “is the swan. His name is Cygnus. He’s been in a lot of stories and myths and stuff. Papa’s favorite is ‘the tragedy’— that means very sad story— ‘of Phaethon.’”
“The gay one,” Martin whispers, his voice solemn in Jon’s ear.

Summary
Ellen was going to figure this out. She’d document every strange fear they’d ever expressed as far as she could remember, whether it was a fear they shared or one that seemed personal. Maybe if she could understand where they crossed over and where they didn’t, it would be clear whether they’d been in the same place or two somewhat similar ones and what kinds of nightmares they’d been to begin with.
She spent the whole afternoon wracking her memory for every strange conversation they’d had about seemingly mundane things, like the children’s books and the merry-go-round and whatever was so terrible about Madame Tussaud’s.---
Ellen Blackwood has always had a keen eye for the strange things that get under her fathers' skin.
