    Summary

    Everybody had secrets.

The thing about secrets - is that nobody wants them unfold. Except for those whom they are kept from. The very nature of curiosity was born from the lack of knowledge.

However, there are some who lack this very human trait.

Such as angels. At least to those allowed to stay in heaven. If they had, maybe this story would have unfolded differently.

Curiosity never killed the cat. But only, because cats weren´t invented at this point.

But this story is not about a cat. It´s about a snake. And what his curiosity did to him. As well as the lack of others thereof. And the secret he accidentally kept from then on.

And, as you may expect, the story begins right after the end of the world. The one that never happened.

    Summary

Here’s what Crawley remembers: he remembers strolling side-by-side in the Garden, taking in the beauty of Creation. He remembers crafting nebula just so to match a pair of eyes. He remembers long conversations about all the wonders that were and those yet-to-come. He remembers laying together basking in love for a timeless eternity. He remembers a request asked and a promise made.

Here’s what Crawley remembers: Aziraphale. Just Aziraphale.

    Summary

Aziraphale’s the only one in existence who, if he said, “Yes, I believe we have to set the entire world on fire now,” Crowley would say in return, “If you’re sure, then I got some accelerant in the trunk. What? No reason, really, just had it there in case of emergency. You never know.”

(Aziraphale would likely ask, “What emergency would accelerant be necessary for?” and Crowley would retort, “Well it’s certainly coming in handy NOW, isn’t it? So I suppose this emergency.”

And Aziraphale would press his lips together all indignantly and Crowley would have to dig his fingernails into his palm to keep himself from launching himself at Aziraphale to kiss him silly because apparently they have to start some fires.)
