I just wanted to save my son, to save everyone. If I had known that my choices could make this outcome, I'd never agreed to return. But, I should have seen this coming, like a predator playing with its food, life wasn't done with me yet.
Why pick me to be the chosen one for, if not to kill the dark lord, then to fined peace? Can such evil and fighting be brought to such a conclusion!

Summary
Satoru has gone through many revivals, often times ending in either the friends around him or he himself, dying. After various methods of trial and error, the effort has left him desperate. In his most recent revival, he comes to a bittersweet solution.
If Satoru couldn't save the people he cared about, was there a way to stop the murders from happening altogether?
There was.
He would only need to sacrifice both his body and soul to achieve such a thing.
That was good enough for him.
(Or, a story in which Satoru seduces Yashiro, to divert attention to himself in order for Yashiro to not feel the need to commit murder.)
