In the light of the moon, she is one that could even rival the famed marble statues of Athens. She sat in a seiza on the tatami floor; cool, calm, collected. Yet Claudine knew that there was an alertness—a caution in those closed eyes. Her beautiful royal blue kimono splayed out on the floor. Embroidered with gold, the threads formed the patterns of birds and swans. Subtle, but a key note Claudine made in her head.
Her katana rested on her left side, displaying proudly against the open doors leading to the garden. The garden where Claudine was hiding. Her long, brown hair was tied elegantly into a bun, and steadfastly held by a singular purple bow.
She is the samurai Claudine was sent to kill.
She is Tendou Maya.

Summary
Harveste began like this - another inconspicuous day in a slew of boring days, starting off with a perfunctory visit to the market, messing about with what could possibly be a very silly idea, and ending in a sense of accomplishment and the first installment. The day after that, buoyed into hitherto unfamiliar levels of ecstasy by readers’ comments (seriously, thank you so much to my first readers), the second installment. And then it just snowballed from there: the researching, the planning, watching and searching out all the little macabre details in a feverish giddy rush.
My absolute favorite project, hands down, and the one I’ve had the most progress with. I’m quite proud that this is the first contribution I’ll be making to AO3, and I’m certain it won’t be the last. I hope this inspires me to continue and finish what I’ve started, because dear Harveste deserves that.

Sometimes Mei would wake up in the middle of the night, and she found that Yuzu had scooted closer to the middle of the bed and was lying next to her. She would close her eyes to go back to sleep, sometimes leaning back just a little to press her back gently into Yuzu’s side.
Other times she would press back just a little more, arching her back infinitesimally to curve around Yuzu’s arm and hip, and each time she felt Yuzu nuzzle closer to her.
