Nie Huaisang hates, hates, hates paperwork. Summary
Lan Wangji had never thought much about Jiang Wanyin, content to freeze the man out for his betrayal of Wei Ying for years. Perhaps that betrayal had more context than he originally thought — he remembered the emotional confrontation between the two at Guanyin Temple — but if he did think of Jiang Wanyin it was as an angry, bitter man with a shallow understanding of other people. Lan Wangji had not been very interested in changing that opinion, even after months of repeated exposure as Wei Ying and Jiang Wanyin slowly reforged their relationship.
Lan Wangji had, in fact, been so sure of their mutual antipathy (and his own duty to protect Wei Ying from this angry man who absolutely did NOT deserve Wei Ying’s love) that he never really thought of if or how Jiang Wanyin’s opinion of him might change.
