Summary
Steve Rogers has been out of the ice for almost three years now, but he still hasn't quite found his purpose in the new century.
Bucky Barnes is a war veteran who leads a support group for amputees, hoping that maybe through helping others he can begin to help himself.
The two meet by chance at a bar, inexplicably drawn to one another, and they end up sleeping together that same night. But when an Avengers emergency forces Steve to rush out afterwards, Bucky assumes that's the last they'll ever see of each other.
Except, in the weeks that follow, Bucky's omega urges start going haywire, and he realizes that night with Steve may have left him with more than just a fond memory.

In the eyes of God, Steve Rogers was dead. He was still breathing, still walking around, but he was dead.
This fic is my attempt at a functioning A/B/O universe, since most stories with this premise leave me wondering how the society could have developed to modernity with all the issues raised by heats/bonding/male pregnancy. Steve Rogers is learning to cope without his bond-mate in the 21st century, and deal with the new threats the century throws at him. For the Steve/Bucky Big Bang.

Summary
Steve Rogers, keeper of the light, is used to being alone. He spends his days running the lighthouse, tending to his errant chickens, and sketching the endless passing waves. One dangerous night brings an injured soldier into his quarters that remembers nothing about his past, and Steve finds himself helplessly devoted to getting Bucky some answers. Will his life of solitude ever be the same, or will he open his home and his heart to a mysterious stranger?
Or, Lighthouse Keeper Steve rescues Captain Bucky Barnes and nurses him back to health as he tries to regain his memories. Featuring lots of snuggles, far too many maritime facts, and good ol’ Steve Rogers’ fighting spirit, just for flavor.
