The girl, barely out of diapers for a year, but smart as a whip and growing up fast stared up at him rapturously. As if the clown-prince held all the truths of the universe in his acerbic rant. Her features pinched in contemplation of his sage words before blinking in stunned realization.
“B-But D-Daddy! If all the world’s just a joke… den isn’t dat awful sad? Wouldn’t it be bettuh to have a great big cry so we can feel bettuh again?”
(The growl that follows is anything but loving.)

With her strength failing, it was all she could do to clumsily tug at the bindings coiled around her, trying in vain to free herself. The burning in her lungs got worse and worse even as her struggles grew weaker. She was cold, in pain and bleeding in the dark water. Her lungs gave out on her, forcing her mouth open to try and suck in a desperate mouthful of air.
...The salt of the sea filled her instead.

When two individuals explode out of the heart tree at Winterfell, the Bolton's think it's a blessing from the gods. It certainly is a change in their fortunes. Sansa expected to die the day the Bolton's did after their guest made the ground shake with her fury. Only she didn't, and now she is nominally the one in charge. With no army, no support outside of those men who saw an angry god and decided not to help their liege Lord, and said god is now her terrifying guest.
Daisy would like to stop being mistaken for a god, and also reiterate flaying innocent people alive is not an acceptable practice. It would help if Fitz would wake up already because she's clearly not going to be able to get them out of the medieval hellscape they're now trapped in. Although Fitz wouldn't be her first choice of companion to be stranded with. And magic ice zombies, because of course there's magic ice zombies.

Clarke is an Omega, who despite her position of power among the Hundred, has always been treated badly by Skaikru. Instead of going to Camp Jaha after escaping Mount Weather, she goes with Anya to Tondisi to try to form an alliance between their people in order to take down the Mountain Men. It turns out, however, that a union between their people might become a little more personal than she originally planned.
