He nodded as well as he could under the circumstances. Her face was a mask of impassivity even as she clenched his hair tightly in her fist, manoeuvring him down off the couch and onto the floor in front of her.
“Out there” she continued, “Out there you’re everything. Untouchable. Unbreakable. Unyielding. You do whatever you like regardless of the consequences.”
She pulled his head back firmly to gaze down at him, at how lovely he looked sitting on the floor at her feet.
