The Goal Isn’t To Live Forever (It’s To Create Something That Will) by Constant_Crisis, MisterTiberius

“Ethan…” A faint voice sang, the cool breeze carrying the ominous echo over to where the villagers were lingering. Luiza’s insides turned to ice, gaze darting around frantically to search for the source.
Or, a tale in which Ethan Winters is one of Mother Miranda's 'children' and somehow the rebellion against the bitch happens anyway.

It's been thirteen years or so since Korli became Harbinger, a good thirteen years spent growing in knowledge as she leads the Companions to honour and glory. But with Torygg's death, that peace has been shattered, and something worse is rising in the west that promises a bloody sun. Joining forces with the Dawnguard and a woman who's more victim than vampire, Korli teeters on the edge of prophecy, unaware that this is only the beginning of what she was born for.
- Part 5 of Blood of the Aurelii
"I thought you said you didn't have old friends, ahtlahzey."
"I thought so too."
Miraak is his own person again and Skyrim is fuming over her new High King, but the Last Dragonborn's plans to remedy that are put on hold when a letter from an old friend surfaces and calls her back to an organization that most people think is a myth: the Dawnguard. (Vampire hunters, or something.) It becomes a race against time once Tharya realizes that the vampire threat could very well be the end of life itself, and getting Serana and Miraak to stop bickering with each other is just a perk of the job.
- Part 3 of First & Last
It has been peaceful since the defeat of Alduin. Then, seemingly out of nowhere, Vampire Lords have been attacking people in towns all across Skyrim. Fed up and desiring to end the growing vampire menace, Isran reforms the Dawnguard and reaches out to every ally he's ever known... and probably alienated.
One of them is Irkand Aurelius, former assassin and now ordained Priest of Arkay who was left blind after the disastrous raid on the Falkreath Sanctuary. He's probably the one person in Tamriel Isran hasn't pissed off yet. He's also one of the few known to have killed a Vampire Lord.
The two of them, and an unlikely ally who's been entombed for the past few Eras, are about to educate Harkon and the Clan Volkihar on why trying to destroy the sun wasn't one of their better unlife choices.
- Part 2 of Legacy of the Aurelii
Setareh bint Sura-Char al-Dragonstar should have been an Empress. Or maybe even a queen. But the betrayal of her husband's minions led to her becoming a vampire in the court of Harkon. No matter; queen of the damned is a title that will suit her as well as any other...
Lia didn't plan on becoming Jarl of the Rift when she changed her face and name. But there's no one else to lead the Hold into a brighter future, even if it seems shadowed by dark and dire prophecies...
Be it a court of vampires or a court of Thanes, politics is much the same and the blood of kings will rise to the challenge - or be lost forever to something worse than death.
There's references to implied CSA and rape/non-con as implied in Serana's backstory. Read the tags, people!
