Basically an original work about subjects the author obviously understands. And written excpertly.
(like Ach, des Knaben Augen by toomuchplor about classical music, and i guess Breaking News by
involuntaryorange (about anchors), that ballet fic, and those chef fics should be mentioned. And let us not forget that incredible raven boys fic that almost could be a totally original work)
