"Come on," Buffy says. "Let's talk about it."
There's a small, younger version of Faith that senses this might be a trap and she feels that urge again to run. But Buffy's expression does not seem to be towing that line between love and hate at all. Sure, there's a barely concealed eye roll when Faith doesn't move toward the bed, but Buffy is also looking at her with concern. Faith feels, for the first time, the freedom of someone being mad at her and knowing they're not going to hurt her. She feels the freedom of being frustrated with someone and not wanting to hurt them. So Faith drops her shoulders, unclenches her fists, and walks over to the bed.

“So what’s a one Starbucks town like Sunnydale have to offer in the way of fun?” Faith says instead, and the playful grimace Buffy flashes her is definitely a cause for concern.
"Hold up,” Faith chokes on the words, catching up, “B, please tell me the Bronze ain’t the only club in town…”
“Alright,” Buffy leans back, squares her shoulders in faux-sincerity, “Faith, the Bronze is not the only club in town.”
