    Summary

    “Before what, Mr. Potter?”

Before Snape had looked at him, drunk and miserable without knowing why, and told him that he could change his future if he wanted. Before he had pulled Snape out of the darkness he’d been determined to drown in. Before the memories. Before he’d looked into Snape’s eyes and watched him die.

Harry didn’t often change his mind, not about people. He’d been accused by Hermione more than once of being stubborn, even prejudiced. And, once upon a time, he’d thought he’d known exactly who Severus Snape was. But that had changed and Harry was no longer that boy anymore, just as Snape could no longer ever be just his hated professor.

“Before,” Harry said again, more finally.

Harry was pretty sure the fact that everyone never thought he’d live past seventeen was at least half the reason becoming an actual adult was so goddamn strange. Severus just wanted to get on with his life now that it was free of controlling old men.

Or, five times Harry flirted with Snape and one time Snape flirted with Harry.

    Summary

Everything Bilbo knows about curses says that being chained to a dwarf and dragged into an adventure because of it should not be enjoyable.
    It certainly shouldn’t be fun.

Though it’s probably because no one would describe fighting wraiths, dragons, darkness from the north, and shiny stones as fun.

Adventures are really just a lot more complicated than Bilbo had ever been aware of.

    Summary

"Thorin was the essence of so many Buckland oddities, distilled into one misfortunate young hobbit, much to his infinite embarrassment.

Built like a stork, his father had said once, in an example of Thrain Brandybuck’s usual tactless humour. All beak and legs."

Thorin Brandybuck, just recently come of age, still lives in his family’s smial in Buckland, with his parents and two younger siblings. Thorin is an odd duck amongst his relations and neighbours-- unsociable, grumpy, shy, and awkward. And beyond that, he looks rather strange even for a Bucklander, strongly favouring the thick, dark haired build of his Stoorish blood.

It defies all sense and reason why Bilbo Baggins, an exemplar of all the respectable traits Thorin lacked, would ever desire a friendship with him.

Bilbo, as Thorin discovers, is not always as sensible as he appears.

    Summary

Take a dragon and get rid of it, take a Kingdom under the Mountain and let it thrive under Thráin’s rule, take the King’s eldest son - as proud and arrogant as you can picture him - and then send him to the Shire in order to refine his diplomatic skills. Or, as his sister puts it: to grow them at last. Now, throw in the Master of Bag End playing host for the dwarf prince: you’ll get a clash of cultures, an ill-advised bet about educating a certain hobbit in the dwarf-lore, and all the pride and prejudice business you could hope for, plus Khuzdul.

A retelling inspired by My Fair Lady.

    Summary

Lydia looked to Stiles before turning and saying rather matter-of-factly, “The dead pool, it’s a supernatural hit list.”

“Supernatural,” Parrish repeated the word. Was that slang or something? “In what regard?”

Stiles’ nostrils flared and he ran a hand through his hair, working himself up. “In the regard that Scott’s a werewolf,” he threw a hand towards Lydia, “Lydia’s a banshee, Kira’s a kitsune, Malia is a werecoyote and Kate Argent is a werejaguar.” He snorted harshly. “I get that a few of these sound like the Frankenstein monsters of a seven-year-old’s brain but that’s what we’re working with here.”

4.06 Coda - because Stiles said "I like you, I'm gonna keep you," and I gave up because HOW DO YOU FIGHT THAT?
