Alternatively: rogue cultivator Wei Wuxian messes up canon and everybody in his path for Lan Zhan but will not confess to said man.
P.S: I suck at summary before the story is complete but this will cover canon events except Wuxian is a somewhat well adjusted rogue cultivator. Updates weekly on Fridays.

“Hey hey, Lan Zhan! It’s Wei Ying, your old classmate—remember me? It took me a really long time to track you down, you know! You should give your security people a bonus, they’re very good at hiding your home address. Ah, you probably get a lot of stalkers, huh? With all the media buzz you’ve been getting for your superstar cultivation abilities and that pretty face of yours, I’m sure everyone’s clamouring for a piece of Lan Zhan. But don’t worry! Wei Ying is here now, I can fend off the massing hordes. All I ask in return is the use of your couch! Or if you don’t have a couch, I’d be happy with a rug. Hahaha, I’d be happy with a soft plank of wood. You know me! Low-maintenance, that’s what they say about Wei Ying.”
Lan Zhan is not going to burst into tears. He tells himself this very sternly, and motions Wei Ying inside. He manages to keep his voice relatively steady as he says, “Wei Ying. Please come in.”
