Summary
A few extra days off turns into more than anticipated when Starsky & Hutch leave town in search of a little relaxation. Nerve endings fray when one incident after another turns combative. Starsky grows worried when he concludes that Hutch has somehow become the target of something evil. The mystery compounds when a chance meeting leads them deeper into the desert in search of a resolution.

Summary
*This story is a sequel to Pieces of the Heart which can be found at https:archiveofourown.org/works/33267235. I think it's possible to read the story without being familiar with Pieces of the Heart although numerous references will be less clear. The Mending leans heavily on Pieces on the Heart for its continuity.*
Hutch is working hard to recover from a traumatic experience when he embarks on a rather unorthodox quest to help him get well. Small mysteries compound, deepen, and grow increasingly more dangerous while Starsky is determined to keep Hutch safe at any cost.
