Everyone knew how soulmates worked. It was such an important part of life! Once you met your soulmate, you would finally be able to see the colours of the world around you, starting with the colour of their Aura. Simple enough, and unmistakable, right?
Or so most people think.
In reality, soulmates are a bit trickier. Sometimes you think you found them, and you haven't. Sometimes you don't notice they're right beside you. Sometimes you're born colourblind, and there is absolutely no way to tell. Sometimes, things you thought impossible just happen.

Summary
It all started with a smell. That had been what made Shikamaru take notice of Naruto. Some things about the 'boy' just didn't add up and the more Shikamaru thought about it, the more he began to wonder what Naruto wasn't telling people, and, if Shikamaru was correct, why was Naruto hiding it in the first place? The genius just hoped he was right otherwise things could get awkward!

Summary
Lena meets Kara as a lost, distressed child when she is at a park near L-Corp while sitting on a bench and goes to comfort her and spends most of her day with her until she is found by the DEO and taken in by Alex. She then meets Kara properly again a few weeks later in her adult form and can’t help but wonder why it is that she seems so familiar when she is being interviewed by the reporter about her newest invention.
