For centuries, the Rock has guarded the Lannisters and has never failed.” He traces a line over Tommen’s cheekbone, the gesture so fatherly that Brienne wonders, for how long has he yearned to touch his son like this, with such tenderness. “And, you, Tommen. You are the most precious Lannister, there is. The Rock will not fail you. Neither will I.”
