Summary
People say that loving someone is something to cherish for life no matter what. That's what Macaque always believed and when he met a certain monkey. He thought he found it, only for it to be ripped away by one certain day. Years later Macaque must face his trauma of seeing the monkey again but what else would it bring if he tried to mend these broken threads and what problems will it bring as well.
An alternate universe where it’s mostly about Macaque and Wukong’s relationship being on thin thread. Like it’s almost snapping until MK and Mei notice so they try their best to help the two adults to fix that broken bond.

“Meta,” Dedede begins, his tone eerily solemn. He plucks a bottle of shampoo—the only one on there, in fact— off the shelf and dangles it in front of his partner. “What’s this?”
“Shampoo,” Meta replies, irritated that the mood has been ruined. “As you can very clearly see.”
Dedede brings the bottle up to his face for closer inspection. “Five-in-one shampoo… all your showerly needs, in a single bottle…” he reads off the label. His expression changes from intense focus to abject horror in a matter of seconds. “Ya can’t be serious! This stuff’s garbage! A knight of your standards?! Did ol’ Magolor try to sell ya dumb stuff again?!”
(Or: King Dedede interrupts a steamy moment between himself and Meta Knight to ensure the knight gets better showering habits.)

And at this Macaque began to wail, voice cracking with each yell that conveyed his emotional pain. “But- but you wo-won’t stay!” he screamed pathetically, sobbing harder as he hid his face in the pillows, muffling his cries.
Wukong hummed, pondering over what to say next. “Of course I’m going to stay, sugar plum, you’re my everything.”
