Summary
Lance is a hard working florist who owns his own store, The Dandy Lion, and is proud of everything he has accomplished. A thriving business, a loving family back in Cuba, a familia of his own in the shape of his friends and colleagues of the Voltron Boulevard, he couldn't ask for anything more.
That is until someone new arrives on the boulevard. A tall, dark, mysterious someone who Lance would very much like to get to know, or behind, except for one little problem... He can't seem to function properly whenever this someone is around, he will either freeze completely or turn into a stumbling mess. Not a great first, or fifth, impression to be sure.

“Oh, yes way.” Pidge says stubbornly and Keith groans as he re-reads the message on the window across his own, all of it entirely made out of post-its. What a waste of office supplies, honestly.
“Answer them!” Pidge pushes.
Keith looks bewildered. “How? Want to send a pigeon?”
Pidge snorts. “No. We do it the same way they did.”
Keith tilts his head in confusion before his eyes widen. “Oh, no. No, no, you stay away from my post-its, you don’t — Pidge! No! My post-its!”
[Or the one where two pining boys find their way in an old-fashioned way of communication through post-its and windows. Somehow it works out for them to interact for once outside side-glances in hallways and the rest is history.]

Summary
Lance is a senior studying trombone at The New Altea Institute of Music, the country's leading music school. Though, if customers at the record store where he works ask what he plays, he always lies and says guitar.
He loves music--every genre--but with graduation approaching and options in the world of classical trombone minimal at best, Lance is doing his best to put on a happy face and ignore the future.
Then Shiro invites him out to see his younger brother's band play.
Lance didn't even know Shiro had a brother.
