Harry Potter in the Claw of the Raven (BakeandEggs) is a very fun read! Here Harry is given unexpected help in his introduction to magical society by his goblin account manager. The impact having several far reaching consequences (traditionalism, wandless magic and a want to learn the goblin language) and leading to Harry being sorted into Ravenclaw. Not only that he befriends Draco Malfoy but we are given 'Good Malfoys' who really help nurture Harry. This series does pair Harry with Daphne Greengrass and I thought the courtship was adorable. Also a very refreshing reworking on the Trizward events (as well as final confrontation with Voldermort).

Nothing the Same (orchidluv) is actually a series I began on Spanderfiles and was delighted to find had been added to AO3 at a later date. Its four lengthy books that cover all 7 seasons of Buffy. The premise is what if Xander doesn't deal well with Jesse's death and the far reaching ripples this causes over canon events. I honestly fell in love with the series for how much impact Jesse's death had on Xander and how it shaped him and his views about the supernatural.

Changing the future doesn't necessarily make things better. It just makes things different.

Journey of the Whills is a story that began with Re-Entry (found here: http://archiveofourown.org/series/10129; see series description). It's an on-going work that has not been abandoned; updates are forthcoming.

Re-Entry: Journey of the Whills (flamethrower) is the sequel to Re-Entry and shows that Flamethrower continues to write epics. It feels like an over-simplification to say it continues on from Re-Entry as Journey of the Whills feels more like Flamethrower had it hit the ground running. Not only does it continue with the consequences of a changing timeline but also has Obi-Wan visiting another timeline! Young Obi-Wan visiting the original timeline just before Old Man Ben's death. I really just adore the cast in both series and how well the characters are fleshed out (like Jeila Vin who is a toddler and Obi-Wan's future padawan learner). The introduction of Darth Venge and having him train Shadows was a fantastic arc. His time in the other timeline is gripping as well (Mara Jade being cloned from Obi-Wan!) and I can't wait to see how he returns home.

    Summary

Re-Entry is an alternate universe epic that spans time and possibility. Obi-Wan Kenobi, while still a young Padawan, suffers an injury and wakes up with all of the memories, experience, training, and Force-strength of Old Ben Kenobi. It isn't long before the Jedi discover that Anakin Skywalker, a five-year-old slave from the Outer Rim, has undergone the exact same change. Obi-Wan and Anakin bear the scars of harsh lessons learned; those who love them must learn those lessons quickly, before the mistakes of old are repeated.

Re-Entry (flamethrower) is such a delightful and epic series. All the little and large details enrich the plot and take my breath away as Flamethrower weaves the tale of a young Obi-Wan Kenobi waking up after an incident with the memories and experience of Old Ben Kenobi. Some of the little details I adore include Teya the cat, Obi-Wan's tattoo sleeve holding his wedding vows, and Qui-Gon being dai'Jinn of Rishi. Big details that delight me is the birth of Kania Cliess Skywalker (daughter of Cliegg and Shmi), the marriage of Obi-Wan and Qui-Gon and Raallandirr 'Rllian' becoming Qui-Gon's padawan learner. There is such a wealth of background, story and detailing that I feel I could reread this thousands of times and find something new each time.

Gelosaþ in Écnesse (Batsutousai) is such a neat time travel story. Its the first I've seen that uses the graveyard/Priori Incantatem as a basis for time travel. In this case its a combination of several different magics (sacrificial protection, rebirth ritual and the twin wand effect) combing together to expel Harry into the past. So far so that he arrives when Hogwarts has first opened and he is taken in to continue his education as a student of Slytherin. I absolutely adore the OCs of the students and how the writer portrays the Founders (there are honestly so many neat little details that I wouldn't have minded just reading world building). Harry does come back to the present time but as an adult and becomes a Dumbledore, nephew of Albus, to join the Hogwarts Staff as the defense professor while Sal works as a healer for the school.
