After Jon learns his true identity, honor demands he reject what he loves most, though his heart rebels. And, while Daenerys may be suffering, she remains the Queen of both Westeros and the Bay of Dragons, with all the power, resources, and attraction she has earned.
Story is focused on emotional realism, including PTSD. Jon is show-canon freaked about the incest thing, because he really didn't pay much attention to his history lessons.

Ben Solo is finally, finally free of his past. Still young, still a highly dominant Alpha in an Alpha's world, he has enough money from selling his startup to start a new life in Boulder, Colorado, safe from his mistakes, safe from his family, and safe even from Snoke. All he wants now is to be happy and share his life with the right Omega.
It's too bad Ben's past is coming for him. It's too bad his past is coming for Rey.

Ben is vibrating with fury. "What did you eat? Did they even fucking feed you?" He maneuvers around her on the couch so they're facing, finally.
She looks so pale and wrung out that he wants to leap up and feed her right now, feed her by hand until she's soft and happy again, rosy and round as a peach. But he forces himself to wait, and breathe. She smells like the moss on a lonely pond.

A beautiful tourist with nothing but the soggy clothes on her back and nowhere to go, Rey clings to him in desperation. As the days go by, Rey unfolds to him like a blossom in April, and it’s getting so he wishes he would never have to bring her home.

There’s a nagging voice in the back of her head telling her to take Ben’s hand, outstretched towards her, the destruction of Snoke’s throne room glowing around them.
“Please,” He whispers, dark eyes pleading, his trembling outstretched fingertips a sort of peace offering - a promise.
“Take off your glove,” Rey commands, and there’s a flash of confusion in Ben’s eyes before he pulls his hand back and rips off the glove, just like he’d done that night through their Force bond. And Rey is looking at Ben Solo again.
She places her fingertips in his palm.

Rey takes Ben's hand when he offers it to her onboard the Finalizer. But a series of miscommunications and misunderstandings, hurt and betrayal, their plans for each other go awry. The hair on the back of Rey's neck stood up and she walked in front of Ben. He kept his face neutral. She knew this was important to solidify her place in the First Order, hopefully without any lingering questions of her loyalty. She took a knee before Ben.
“Do you swear your undying loyalty to Supreme Leader?” Hux peered down his nose at her figure knelt on the floor.
“I swear my undying loyalty to Supreme Leader Kylo Ren.”
