[Takes place between SMB 2 and 3, melds both the old Brooklyn canon and the Yoshi's Island canon] It's not that the brothers weren't grateful that Peach funded the renovation of a small cottage just for them to stay in the Mushroom Kingdom. It's just that it made them miss home, and left them slightly confused as to what "home" was.
