A culture born of subservience and power had sustained itself thus for countless centuries, defiance in the face of it small but meaningful. An ember fed with the worship of free will was then dropped in the kindling of that defiance. Fan the flames with the bitter rage of another spark, and a firestorm will sweep the galaxy.
Desmond Miles and Clay Kaczmarek both expected to die, one a weary, resigned sacrificed for the sake of the world, the other the last remnants of a broken man sacrificed for one person and his own need to matter. Neither one of them ever expected to meet again after that last, desperate moment.
They were both wrong.

Master Qui-Gon once forced Obi-Wan to choose between the Jedi or the lives of children.
Obi-Wan had struggled with the consequences of that choice.
He feared that he made the wrong one.
But then the Mand'alor Jaster helped him and the Young, throwing everything Obi-Wan knows into chaos.
Now Obi-Wan must choose between the Republic he was raised to save or the Mandalorian Empire that saved him.
Thank you Violet_Dawn_001 for the concept!

Jango hadn’t been sure what to expect from being dead. He’d grown up with stories of Manda, the warriors marching far away, looking over them as they plodded through their lives.
But, frankly, he hadn’t expected that to be true.
This was a lesson. And a test.
Remember the lesson.
“I will,” Jango said softly, reaching out to trace a finger over the symbol of the Haat Mando’ade, still painted proudly on his armor. “I’ll remember.”
My take on the time travel trope with Jango Fett as the time traveler, after he's forced to watch the aftermath of all his bad decision making in the afterlife. It's gonna be one hell of a ride.
Eventual Jango Fett/Obi-Wan Kenobi relationship. WIP - Will update sporadically.

"I crawled out the window and ran into the woods. I had to make up all the words myself. The way they taste, the way they sound in the air. I passed through the narrow gate, stumbled in, stumbled around for a while, and stumbled back out. I made this place for you. A place for you to love me. If this isn’t a kingdom then I don’t know what is.”
In which the Force loves Obi-Wan, and guides him on to a different path when he's left on Bandomeer.

“Who are you?” Naberrie hisses, close enough to fog Jango’s visor, and he certainly sounds capable of following through on his implicit threat; Jango flicks his eyes down to the staff and feels a sharp edge pressing against his throat, and where the kriff had he gotten a kriffing beskar’vik.
“We’re here to rescue you,” Jaster says, leveling his blaster to the side of Naberrie’s head, "but if you hurt my boy, I won’t hesitate to kill you.”
Or: Obi-Wan survives a year on Bandomeer before the Queen of Naboo frees the slaves of his mine on a mercy mission. Five year old Padmé adopts him by sheer force of will.
