When a documentary crew embeds itself within the U.S. Women’s National Team one year before the World Cup, the head coach issues two warnings. One, for the team in general: Don’t do anything you wouldn’t want your mother seeing you do. And a second for two players in particular: Don’t let the cameras catch you at each other’s throats.
For the past five years, Christen Press and Tobin Heath have been like oil and water. Their relationship goes beyond a rivalry. It is a deep, mutual loathing. Unadulterated, unalterable loathing. But faking it for the cameras brings a new strain to their hate-ship, which explodes in a mess of sexual tension and shocking desire. After giving into the tension between them, Christen and Tobin find they have quite a bit more than hatred to hide from the cameras, and by extension, their teammates.
