Shoma places his face gently on his duvet and breathes in. The air is hot and stuffy, pressed through the fabric. It feels soothing, like some of the warmth that seems to creep into Shoma’s face every time he thinks of Yuzu might stem from that, instead.
“He’s weird around you, lately.”
“I know,” Shoma says, to the duvet.
“You’re weird around him, too.”
Secrets are had and then not had, awkwardness is ubiquitous, and yet, they work it out. With a little help from their friends.
