They were drunk. Were they drunk? Was he drunk? Because Kaeya had the feeling his guests had been talking to him for a while now, but none of their words had made any sense whatsoever.
That was, until Venti stepped firmly in front of Kaeya’s desk and set his hands on the top, the better to lean over towards Kaeya and say: “For the end of the Windblume festival, Sir Kaeya Alberich, we’re going to auction a date with you.”

The concertmaster of the orchestra has hair like a field of poppies, and a delicately lifted chin that never lowers, and a cool gaze that lingers, like he can see into all the most intimately carved out hollows of your soul, or like you are a pane of glass that he can look right through and he does not see you at all. He is the first thing Kaeya sees when he walks into the concert hall for his first rehearsal, standing at the edge of the stage beside the maestro who has his arms folded across his chest, murmuring something too low to be caught under the background noise of the other players’ conversations.
