M-rated one shot, Maura's POV. At Paddy's bedside in episode 3x01, when Maura asks Paddy if he planned to shoot Jane, and Jane tells Maura she wants to show her something, they exchange a series of looks that are so smoldering that I refuse to believe they didn't ravish each other at some point between that moment and the visiting of baby Maura's grave. So this story fills in the gaps. Or gasps. What's an s between friends?

Hermione Granger has always been good at her job, so good that now in her second term as Minister of Magic she finds herself a bit bored as she's set up all her political machinations so well they only need the barest of attention. That's most probably why she actually lets Ginny convince her to finally write a letter using the most sensational invention of the last decade: soulmate paper. It should be simple, she just writes a letter and a Ministry owl will carry her letter to whoever is magically determined to be her soulmate. So simple she trusts Ginny, agent of chaos that she is, to send it off for her, which is, perhaps, how she ends up with three replies to her letter instead of just one.
