Peter Parker doesn’t have a lot going for him right now. Kicked out of MIT for something he didn't do, still living with his Aunt and stuck at his retail job, he's just aiming to survive the last-minute gift buying frenzy at the Save-More. Which gets harder after his ex sends him some weird, virus-infected email that gives him the worst headache.
His luck starts to turn when an impressed customer wants to hire him for some freelance tech work. It seems like an amazing opportunity, exactly what he dreamt of when he was at MIT.
He didn’t expect so much gunfire at his job interview.

Peter hits the emergency call button. It buzzes once, then a pre-programmed message rings out. “A technician has been dispatched to your location and emergency services have been notified. Please remain calm.”
The woman hasn’t responded to Peter, and he looks over to see her bracing herself heavily against the wall, gulping in air.
“Hey, do you need a hand?” Peter asks, “You don’t look so good, kind of, red and puffy.”
She shoots him a sharp look, which is fair, as he grasps her elbow and helps her lower herself to the ground.
“It’s started.” She says.Or, Peter is trapped in an elevator with baby that wants out of its mother's stomach right now and maybe Spider-man won't be the one to save today

“Whoa, hold up, hang on,” he says, taking a step closer to get a better look. The blade is probably four inches long and neon purple, while the handle is white with a friendly-looking colorful silicon grip. “Is that a toy knife? Is this a Fisher Price mugging?”
“Fuck you, Spidey,” the mugger replies, fumbling for the knife before scrambling back to his feet and brandishing the weapon at Peter.
Or, Peter is stabbed by a misleading knife, Tony plays a high stakes game of Operation, and May retains the one brain cell.

“You can't use Mister Stark's four hundred dollar tequila to grow diamonds.” Ned says, more blaster fire from his end of the line.
“Diamonds which I could then use to line the repulsor systems.” Peter bites into his apple. “And then I’d always be with him.” Peter adds, “in Spirit.”
"I see what you did there,” Ned says, “and I respect the pun. And the concept. Super freaking cute man. And lame. But mostly cute."
OR Peter's broken his phone again, but luckily FRIDAY can just broadcast his chats with Ned throughout the penthouse. Too bad his spidey-sense doesn't warn him about Mister Stark's unexpected visitors. And if he ends up in Wakanda after that- well he may have found a little loophole in Tony's orders to stay home.
